The Realizer
Wind felled detritus becomes designer decor in two projects from the Ideas Realized blog … and, I have to ask myself: Why didn’t I think of that?!
……….
Reminiscent of my wall-mounted succulent planter project, at left, Ideas Realized blogger (and graphic artist), Rob Metke, used palm fronds as his raw material and inspiration. I love the results he achieved using what most people think of as yard waste and really not much else … The cocoon-like pendant light fixture required only a simple light kit to finish, and the rustic planter some leather cording he already had: Brilliant! Metke’s posted quite a few interesting projects that are big on style and design and will not break the bank. Check out his Ideas Realized; I’m sure you’ll be inspired as I was … I can think of a few of his projects I’d like to do riffs on here at the Rancho. So cool…..I thought of yours too…
For a quick second I wasn’t sure myself, Vickie
I don’t know how I just now saw this. Thank you! So great of you.
Hey, Rob, you’re welcome … my readers enjoyed the post and the projects. Love your new blog look; the typography projects, too!
What other pieces of art can you do with palm fronds?
There are several posts using palm fronds or scoops here; I would also try Pinterest, keywords palm fronds, for more. Thanks for commenting!
