The Fall-Back?
Possible ‘Plan B’ craigslist heading: JUNK HAULER …
Of course certain requirements apply: A vehicle large enough to contain large pieces of junk is essential; Paul’s Element, minus its seats is perfect! Strong backs for lifting and packing are important, too; between Paul, myself, and in this case, friends Jan and Elena, we get the job done. An eye for quality junk is a must as well; happily, I’ve got that covered … Take a gander at the marvellous metallica, above, I picked up recently at the Long Beach Flea Market: a painted steel feed trough on legs, a great red-painted garage shelf unit with tons of hot pockets, and my fave, two wall-mounted horse feeders! How’d all of it fit into the back of the car? Hey, we’re just pros!
Junk-hauler as fall-back? It could happen … Until it does I can continue expanding my skill sets at local flea markets, junk and garage sales.
LOVE that red one!
I know, I love the red shelves, too!
Me too! And the trough they’re sitting on! Well done!
I really love the horse feeders too, but am trying to come up with a never-before-seen use for them … suggestions?
Great finds. I’ve never made it out to the Long Beach swap meet. When is it?
Hey, WF, it’s the third Sunday of each month, and in my opinion, the best of the So-Cal fleas … better than Rose Bowl. If you’d like to go sometime let me know, I’d love to show you around!
Consider it a date! We may have to drive two elements though, to carry all our picks (smile).
Absolutely, just name yer Sunday and we’ll go …
Okay, I’ll text you.
🙂
Fantastic blog! Love all of the ‘found elements’ and the way you incorporate them into your landscape/projects. Kudos.
Thanks, Randy … for commenting and reading!
