Home Light

Arriving home at week’s end can sometimes feel like a blessed event; this is one of those Fridays. I step out of the car and the sight of my succulent garden’s diverse foliage and bright blossoms cause the week’s indignities to suddenly seem less important … there’s nothing new here in the day’s fading light, but I’m very happy that this home is mine …
Already it’s getting darker, and taking more pictures requires the flash …

At the Rancho’s end, Our Lady glows in the last light …

… and then it’s gone.

I have 48 hours-plus to enjoy before my reentry into next week. Paul, Frito and Inky are holding a spot for me in front of the TV’s warm glow … I hope you have a great weekend! I plan to.
You know, this is something I’m really feeling lately. The past few weeks I’ve spent more time at work than I have at home. It’s too dark to see my garden when I get here, but I’ve never been so happy to call a place my home and the sweet souls I share it with my family.
Then you know … besides being at work, for me, there’s been the sickness mess I’ve been dealing with … It really is just an amazing feeling to be able to literally walk outside and be made happy by what rightly belongs to you. Thanks for commenting, MM
I love that plant in the inverted pyramid shaped planter, by the way. I can’t tell what it is, but it looks great.
I love it too, but I’ve never been able to find out the name of it … the person who sold it to me had no idea, so …
I’m glad to see you feeling this way especially after some of the frustration you have been feeling. your garden and passion for it and the art within it is very inspiring to me. 🙂
I’m hoping this is an attitudinal Spring thaw!
Made me “homesick” for those March/April/May evenings in the desert…
Sorry, Dave… I have to say this weekend was the best … Rain and all
I wonder what it would be like to live in a place with less rain enjoyed your photos.
Thanks, again! … interesting blog you have, too…
