Wrong = Right

'Striking Beauty at the Carwash', 2012

Because she knows my deep love for “wrong”, colleague Noelle Carter emailed me this scene of unseasonably sunny wtf. I have to say it has provided me with more than a few shivers of delight — I can’t stop looking at it …

Like some sort of existential perception puzzle there’s no answer for, it haunts me …

Most haunting: That huge container with the rounded bottom that looks to be made of concrete, held up by a delicate-by-comparison rebar stand. I want that like I want longer legs!

    I love the dead and struggling plants in the smaller containers.

      I do too, especially because they’re in the most ornate, urn-like vessels!

        Any idea why the palm trunks are painted white?
