News of the Bazaar: New Dates!
In time for the impending holiday season, the first annual RANCHO REUBIDOUX GARDEN BAZAAR takes place the first weekend in November. Mark your calendars for Saturday and Sunday, November 5 and 6, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Reuben and Paul’s Rancho Reubidoux in Riverside. The Rancho will be opening its coffers, er, garage, and putting on the block all manner of garden gew-gaw … this is a great opportunity for readers to snatch up some good ol’ rustic/industrial/hispano-grunge/Rancho style straight from the source! But, wait, there’s lots more! Here’s the run-down, keyed to the illustration above:
— a.—
Culled from my own collections, I’ll be offering rough’n’rusty goodness, including containers, artwork and even a couple of items created especially for the sale … See something you like that doesn’t have a price tag? Let’s talk!
— b.—
Down-the-way neighbor, and fellow succulent maven, Bonnie Reynolds (click here), has gathered kitschy vintage ceramic containers and turned them into whimsical mini-gardens… but that’s not all: she’s also creating stacked colored glass ‘totems’! (Bonus: Master gardener husband, Bruce, is building birdhouses.)
— c.—
Recent local find, Vickie Perez, will be offering an assortment of her trademark rusted (and rustic) succulent container gardens … She’s been on the hunt for unusual containers ever since I asked her to participate in the sale, and if I know her, she’s come up with some clever — and amazing — goodies! (Click here for memory refreshment)
— d.—
Lastly, local succulent propagator/dealer, Mike Dignan, will be supplying a truckload of amazing specimens, picked just for the Rancho’s Bazaar. You can look forward to terrific juicy leaf examples to go with your new pots and containers … Need more? He’s at the downtown Riverside Farmer’s Market every Saturday, check him out!
Here’re the particulars:
Your crown is FABULOUS!! Oh, so want to come on Saturday, Nov 5th (happens to be my birthday) but the best I can possible do and hoping for is to come on Sunday……am so wanting to see your Rancho.
Guida
Well, happy birthday and I hope you make it!
You’re killing me! I should so be there…
Hey, c’mon down!
p.s. you need to ditch the baseball capped avatar and replace it with the agave crowned you! (just sayin…)
Excellent idea! I was sick of the cap anyway…
Nov. 5 is my birthday, too! A trip to the Rancho seems like a perfect way to celebrate.
I wholeheartily agree! See you then…
Hope to meet you there on our birthday weekend Nancy.
