Morning Glory
September 26, 2010
Returning from my morning constitutional I rounded the corner and was struck by the sight above. The just-risen sun was backlighting one of my prized agaves in spectacular fashion …
The early morning cool is still with us, and in the shadows it’s almost chilly. But, I know it’s not going to last (it’s supposed be 100º+ today!) and the sun will become relentless… Because I have a contrary — okay, perverse — side, we’re going to Palm Springs, where the temp should top-out at over 110º … I’ll check in later and show you what we found at the Cactarium there …

It’s raining here today, thank you for this dose of summer.
Rain — I want some!
100 here at the coast! But the mornings have been beautiful and bright, like your agave.
100 at the coast, too?! I guess no one’s being spared in SoCal today …
Gorgeous!!!
Thanks, Megan
I love how the sun comes up in the morning and just smacks something with golden backlight. Every plant gets a spotlight moment. You captured that moment just right.
Thanks, I feel lucky to have been able to have caught the torch-effect
