Many Thanks!
Thanks, Rancho Reubidoux readers, for helping me achieve the following milestones since beginning the blog last August: More than 10,000 hits, 100 posts and 400+ comments! It’s been fun telling you about all the stuff that I’m interested in and I look forward to giving you more. Some RR posts have been picked up by other bloggers and the Visiting the Maya Garden post alone received over 600 hits after being named Friday Link of The Day on Dirt du Jour blog: Amazing! L. A. Times-linked blog posts for Thanksgiving centerpieces and DIY lampshades projects also snagged big numbers, and I’m looking to do more projects like those. RR has also caught the attention of bloggers outside the US; just last week a graphic artist/garden blogger in Paris picked us up and there has been a steady stream of hits from that source since: Incroyable! I loved that she referred to my style as ‘hispano grunge’, and I’m thinking of patenting that term (thanks, Jeannine!).
The posts you really seemed to enjoy most were decorating-related and DIY projects, book reviews and all things doggie … and, of course, anything remotely succulent and garden-related was hugely popular, whether at the Rancho itself or off-site. I’m planning more walking tours and I pledge to hit the flea market more often; you really like those posts, too (and I need another excuse to shop!). In fact, I promise to give you more of everything, as well as tons of new things as they strike my quite fickle fancy … It’s always fun to hear from readers, so please leave comments when visiting RR, and feel free to tell others about the blog — there’s plenty of room at the Rancho for everyone! Thanks, again, for all the compliments, comments and positive reinforcement! |
I’m so glad I found your blog! And glad you love the term ‘hispano grunge’…I saw that post on Paradis Express (she’s linked to danger garden many times too…I love her!) and then saw your comment, otherwise I was going to let you know that you’d been featured. Congrats on your milestones! And thanks for inspiring me to get back into vintage shopping, I have a big weekend outing planned with a good friend!
Thanks, Loree, you, and all the other blogger/reader regulars, make my day!
