The big five-oh!

When I first began this blog late last August, my only hope was that I’d get at least 10 posts up … I never thought less than 6-months later I’d be posting my 50th! I would’ve never gotten to this point without input and feedback from so many people: family, friends, colleagues, people who’ve found RR through links on other blogs and websites, and people who’ve just stopped by the Rancho to say how much they like what we’ve accomplished. When we first began work here, anytime we were outside working, the encouragement from neighbors and passersby was really overwhelming. Not to mention gratifying. The same has been true about this blog: so many positive comments (170, to be exact!) from so many people; it’s really been confidence-bolstering. Thanks, everyone! We’re very close to the 5,000th hit mark, too, something I can hardly believe. These are designs inspired by posts and photos seen on RR. I’ve used the colors, symbols and fonts found on the blog in fun ways I think are reflective of the Rancho itself. So, now anyone can show — like me — their love for succulents, dry landscaping, junking, folk art, flea marketeering, and all the other things we love at the Rancho. There’s colorful ranch dressing in the shop and much more. Stop by, have a look around and if you don’t see something you like, tell me what you would like and I’ll set that up for you. As time goes on I’ll continue to add and change products, so stop in often!

My 50th post, and there’s still so much more to come: in the next few days I’ll put up my first interactive post — complete with poll for you readers to weigh in on a project I’ve got in the works. I’ve got more ‘walking tour’ posts slated, as well as interviews with like-minded local (garden) heroes, along with looks at some Riverside landmarks beyond those you already know about.
